Review of the book: Estética e sociedade

Abstract
The field of the aesthetics professional has grown consistently in recent decades and influences professionals to work in this area. The crescent number of professionals specializing in aesthetics allows innovation in various treatments, in addition to contributing to accessibility to a portion of society that previously did not have access to aesthetic care. In this sense, we bring into discussion the book published in 2014 “Estética e Sociedade”, composed of 12 chapters that approach the history and evolution of aesthetics, professional ethics, role of the beautician in the multidisciplinary team, legislation and guidelines, labor market, modalities and services facial and body aesthetics, work environment, professional conduct, health and sanitary surveillance, professional skills and abilities, biosafety and aesthetic at current society. The book is indicated for students and technical professionals in aesthetics, but also for professionals graduated in health area and chosen to specialize in aesthetics.
