Abstract

Androgenetic alopecia is a pathology that affects men and women causing hair loss. The factors for the occurrence of alopecia are genetic and environmental, that is, people with a predisposition exposed to environmental conditions end up losing hair more sharply. Hair represents a strong aesthetic factor in social beauty and its absence generates personal dissatisfaction. The present study aimed to identify whether the treatments available on the market have generated satisfactory results for patients. The present research was an integrative literature review in the Google Scholar database. Three stages were carried out for the selection of studies that would be part of this research. At the end of the selection process, seven studies were selected to compose the research. The literature found presents treatments with topical use of natural herbal products and the use of specific techniques for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. It is concluded that the numerous possibilities of treatments for androgenetic alopecia have presented satisfactory results to the public that seeks treatment against the pathology. Whether through treatments by topical application of products or treatment sessions using professional techniques, the results please patients.
